JST Week is Coming!!
Jointly organized by JST, IEEE VR2011, and Singapore Science Centre Held in conjunction with IEEE VR2011Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) is an integrated organization to promote research activities in science and technology in Japan. Also one of the missions of JST is to promote joint research collaboration between Singapore and Japan. We have tried to plan for a long time to organize an event here in Singapore to introduce the recent research activities in the virtual reality (VR) and related areas and also several research collaborations going on between Singapore and Japan.
Fortunately IEEE Virtual Reality 2011 (VR2011), the most prestigious conference in VR will be held in Singapore on 19 – 23 March 2011 at SUNTEC Convention Centre. We are proud to inform that we will organize JST Week in conjunction with this conference.
We plan to organize various events including lectures to experts, talks to Singapore public, demonstrations, etc. We hope you would join the event, observe the recent research development in VR area, and would understand that VR technologies would give strong impact to the future of our life.
Overview of JST Week
JST Week consists of the following three events that will be held over 10 days.
20 March 2011 at SUNTEC Convention Centre
Ten distinguished professors from Japan and two world famous professors from US would give lectures on the most recent research development in virtual reality and related areas. These lectures would be relevant to people in academia, industries and government who has interest in such technology.
As this workshop will be held as one of the event of VR2011, we strongly recommend that you would register the conference. Then you will be able to attend various other events including workshops, tutorials, demos, etc. Especially reception and banquet would give you a good chance for networking.
21 – 23 March 2011 at SUNTEC Convention Centre
Open café is intended for Singapore public such as businessmen, students, house wives. Several of the professors invited to the workshop will give attendees the thoughtful and scrupulous explanation about the most recent technology development in virtual reality area. You would be much impressed by the recent technology development.
24 – 27 March 2011 at Singapore Science Centre
Some of the demonstrations brought from Japan would surely attract the interest on young students and children. These demos will be moved to Singapore Science Center and will be exhibited. You can touch and feel the recent technology development in virtual reality areal.
